Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

I was out gazing at Jupiter when in my periphery I noticed another star-like object the same size as Jupiter which shouldn't have been there (abeam and to the left of Jupiter). The object appeared to be slowly moving and was completely silent, and then slowly became smaller and smaller until the white light dimmed to a very small red light and then fizzled out and disappeared. I have never seen anything like it. I observed it for around 45 seconds until it then became smaller and smaller , turned into a very small, difficult to see, red light and eventually disappeared. That process took about 15 seconds.

When looking at the weather radar a round object was detected. The radar signal showed the clouds changing as if a pebble was tossed into a still pond. The radiating waves from the object caused the radar or the clouds to ripple out in a circle.

On April 13th 2021 at around 10:30 PM I was out on my back porch sky gazing when I saw a small round light moving from the southwest toward the northeast much faster than an airliner say at 33,000 feet. Based on an airliner speed of 400-450 knots at altitude moving across the night sky, I would estimate this object was moving close to 1200 knots. I’ve seen what a satellite looks like moving across the sky, but this object was nearly 4 times the size of what a very small satellite looks like in the sky. They are very difficult to see. This was very easy to see. I don’t believe it was a satellite. There was no sound associated with it, no anti-collision lights, nor a contrail and it flew in a straight line northeasterly and dimmed out of view.

Light traveling across the sky leaving white trail behind. Then a bright flash and the object was gone.
