Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

At approximately 7:45pm, my wife called me out to the back porch, looking west from Canaan, NH, toward Lebanon, NH. She pointed out 6-9 lights, seemingly stationary, possibly moving slightly in formation. The lights were a mixture of white and green, and after a few minutes of hovering/floating in the same space over the horizon across the valley above the mountains in the distance (hard to tell how far, as it was otherwise dark around the object), all lights vanished at once.

They looked like stars that would move around very fast. I have never seen anything like this before. Some of them make circles in the sky they seen to vibrate when they where not moving.

I went inside and came out a few minutes later. They had returned and were much closer. They had the same appearance. Again, they appeared to almost dance around and drift along the tree tops. They floated across the road and disappeared down behind my neighbor's house. Witness provides no contact information. PD

The sky was blue with puffy white clouds. I glanced out the kitchen window and spotted some type of skycraft. I realized it was not a plane, so I grabbed my binoculars and ran out to the driveway to get a better look. What I observed was shaped like an elongated pill, rounded at both ends, white in color with odd charcoal grey markings on the bottom 1/3 of it. No wings, no tailfin, no landing gear, no windows, no blinking lights, no numbers, no trail behind it. It tracked in a steady speed in a north-westerly direction, silent. I only got to see it for a short time, during those precious seconds I was observing as much detail as I could. Has anyone seen this? I'd like to know, because I am a little unnerved by it.
