Un témoin rapporte son observation faite le 17 mars 2009 entre 20h10 et 20h15. Il observe en direction du Nord le passage de deux points lumineux blancs se déplacant à vitesse constante d'Ouest en Est et selon une trajectoire rectiligne. Le jour et à l'heure de l'observation, la navette spatiale était en phase d'approche de la station internationale. Le témoignage est cohérent avec l'observation de cet "attelage".
