What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Went out on my patio tonight to have a puff. I observed looking east above the mountain range, and what seemed above a low cloud deck a beam of light, with 2 other lights below it in the shape of a triangle. At first I thought it was a commercial jet or a few jets with there lights on moving through the clouds. Although after watching for about 2mins the lights did not move. At this point I grabbed my daughter to come out and see. We watched for about another 3 mins. Whatever we saw did not move. I would estimate maybe about 20000ft. No sound, no aviation blinking lights and again no movement. All of a sudden top light flashed out, 10 secs later bottom right flashed out, 10 sec after that bottom light flashed out! And was gone and back to normal skies WEIRDEST. I have a video of the event, but says it's to large..reach out if you want it.

Last night I decided to sleep out in my backyard because I could not fall asleep. It was also a nice and clear night for stargazing too. I got out there around 3:00 AM. I setup my spot to sleep and relaxed for a while watching the stars. I know a satellite when I see one and I saw many last night. Sometime around 3:40, my eye caught a particular spot in the sky. There was an object that flew directly south to north at a fast speed. At first, I thought I was seeing a satellite. But the object was moving very fast so it couldn’t have been. The object was dim with no lights on it. I believe it was in our atmosphere because the sun would’ve been shining on it (if it were a satellite). I described to my dad later that if I had to make a guess, it was about the size of a cereal box, about 100-200 feet in the air, but i honestly have no way of knowing. The object was soundless too. I only saw it for about five seconds when I stood up in amazement and then I lost it and then it was gone. My thoughts were that it couldn’t have been a bird because of how fast and steady the object was. It could not have been a satellite because it was not lit up by the sun. All the satellites I saw in that area of the sky were generously lit up. I thought it could have been a shooting star but it didn’t change brightness or leave a trail. It wasn’t a plane because there were no lights or sound. And it wasn’t a drone for the same reason.

Saw a streak of light vertical in the sky. At first I thought it was a plane crashing into the mountains. But, the "streak" wasn't as long as what usually follows a plane and it was much brighter. It was not moving fast, at first I thought it wasn't moving it all. As I continued to watch, I noted that it was slowly descending until it finally went behind the mountain. Then I saw 2 more, both right above the mountains in the east like the first. They were not moving fast enough to be a plane and the streaks of light were very bright. I watched them for about 15 minutes until all but one had disappeared behind the mountain and then I came to report it. I called a friend who could see it also and had never seen anything like it.

I had taken up watching the night sky for flocks of birds, satellites, and meteors. I was just barely able to discern a flying silhouette against the starlight. The Heading North from South in straight trajectory. Dark oblong silhouette that must have been fairly low to be of an inch length to my line of sight. Not impressive. Just dark and fairly fast on a calm night, clear skies. No lights, just starlight. Wind was 0 MPH, temperature was 65 F, dew point 48, pressure at 29.68". I held it in vision for around 10 complete seconds from when I spotted it just above my house heading north steadily cruising. No audibles. Oh well. Prob just a simple thing on a course. But why no lights whatsoever at that lower altitude? I was very lucky to have seen it. My friend next to me could not make it out since there was no way to guide the sight of it. It was only defined against starlight and the suburban night ether. To the grave. It remains an unidentified flying object.
