Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Driving on Hampshire Dr and spotted what at first I thought was an airborne firework. Upon closer observation object was not descending or fading but appeared to "roll" across the sky. Object remained brightly lit and continued in a southeast trajectory until leaving field of view over the horizon. Sky was clear, near sunset, and object had intense red glow. Object made no noise and left no trail in the sky.

First saw an unusual light in the sky. I grabbed my binoculars and saw a disc shape with orange, yellow, red and white lights going across the bottom of the disc. I saw an airplane headed towards it, then change direction. The object then started moving fast in the South West. I then saw three jets headed towards it. The object then turned orange and faded out of site in the middle of the sky. The jets stayed in the area for a minute before flying out of site.

The craft or crafts where flying flat , the 2 circles on side where blue the two in center where gold. T-shaped. Flew past a plane then stopped and hovered and was in an upright position. Stayed liked this at least 5 min. Another plan went by and it layed back down and flew away, never left a flight trail like a plan would. The circles did not appear to be connected.

Bright object seemed to move at an amazing speed toward the area I was standing and paused for a moment, then flew away.
