Le 30 août 2008 vers 19h50 un témoin observe un objet volant qu'il ne peut identifier. Il prend une série de photographies et réalise un film de l'évolution de cet objet. (Le film n'a jamais été adressé au GEIPAN). Suite à une enquête de voisinage, l'enquête de gendarmerie conclut à un cerf-volant. Il y a en effet régulièrement sur le stade de la commune d'ABLIS, des amateurs de cerf-volants qui pratiquent cette activité. Celle-ci est confirmée pour ce jour-là par plusieurs témoins, dont un fait part d'un cerf volant particulièrement haut dans le ciel. [GEIPAN classification A — Cerf volant]
