In 2016 I was attending a local university and Big Rapids Michigan and was at the Ferris State University library when I witnessed what appeared to be a large so circular shaped orb. There was a full moon out that night and the object slowly ascended to the point where it was blocking out the Moon from my visibility. I recall that night another student was by me and I asked him, hey do you see that strange object in the sky? The other student said yeah I see it. So I was like comment it's not just me that seeing this thing. The object appeared to reflect the moonlight and was silver colored like aluminum. My first guess was that this object was a large weather balloon, however this object suddenly change course of direction as if it was guided by someone controlling it. It was a calm night and there was no breeze out and there was no sign of any propellant coming from the object or any motor. The object then suddenly ascended to speeds which would be comparable to a fighter jet to my recollection and then took off. The object was definitely higher than what I believe to be 500 ft and was very large.
