Le 10 mai 2004 vers 21 heures 20, deux témoins indépendants observent le passage très rapide d'une boule lumineuse jaune orangée. Bien que les deux témoignages ne soient pas tout à fait cohérents sur le déplacement (déplacement horizontal pour un témoin et vertical pour l'autre), il ne fait guère de doute sur le fait que les témoins ont observé une rentrée atmosphérique.
