Le 7 février 2002 vers 8 heures, plusieurs témoins indépendants observent la chute très rapide d'une boule de feu orangée. L'observation est très brève (1 à 2 secondes) : la boule a une trainée et disparaît rapidement. D'autres témoins dans un département voisin signalent également l'observation de ce phénomène qui est probablement une rentrée atmosphérique.
