Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Birderswith long lenses all saw 100% still stationary big white opaquish pill shaped but vertical object by descending moon in perfectly clear blue sky. No clouds. It did not move, unaffected by winds aloft. Jetliner high passes just above it.then vanished in thin air.suddenly not there. Had seen similar but silver over wilsonville in summer 2019 but before it too vanished 2 silver saucers came out one on either side, each circled in a perfectly unearthly motion, also unaffected by the atmosphere or physical and then both in again perfect direct line departed. Nw at a speed too fast for man-made anything. Background lifelong in aviation, no technology that unaffected by the physical, that fast or that most markedly exact precise motion.

The light was traveling at some what of a slow pace, slow enough for me to pull my phone out of my pocket and contemplate filming the light. But I ended up keeping my eye on it. It flew from West to East in a straight line. As it flew over my head, I tried to listen to see if it made a noise like some type of aircraft, but it was completely silent. As it flew over my head the fireball started to dim, until it went completely black. The strange thing was as the orange light disappeared I could see a fuzzy grey silhouette of what used to be glowing orange still heading east at! the same speed with no sound what so ever. I know a plane tends to have white, green or red lights flashing but this was silent and bright orange and faded to a fuzzy grey.

Object was a saucer shape, white in color to half of it, and transparent to the other half. It was tilted at 45 degrees not rotating, but still and moving so slow as to appear motionless, but took 3 hours to move from my Sherwood location to East to over Tualatin, OR, area. Wind direction was from North to South blowing on the object, but no effect. Appeared to be as big as an airliner and about 10 to 20,000 feet high. With my close up binoculars, I could see evenly spaced ridges all around the rim perimeter. I have video and still images.

Multiple (18-24) red lights in NW sky over south Sherwood. Appear in geometric patterns and then changing into lines and triangular positions. One group of lights takes on Big Dipper constellation formation - similar to report in Bend, Oregon, last year. Lights are at times so close together; it can't be helicopters due to close proximity. Very bright and then within 30 seconds they are gone. My view was obscured as we drove up to our house and by the time we got into position to see them again they were gone. Did get 2 pictures.
