Le 5 novembre 1996, deux témoins observent le passage très rapide d'un phénomène lumineux cylindrique avec une trainée importante. Aucun bruit n'a été entendu. Aucune autre information n'a pu être recueillie. Il faut cependant noter que le lieu d'observation est proche de l'aéroport de Lille et que le phénomène observé suivait la même route que les avions de ligne.
