Le 6 octobre 1988 vers 21 heures 30, plusieurs témoins observent au-dessus de la région 3 sources de lumière bleutées se déplaçant lentement dans le ciel. Les gendarmes appelés sur place constatent le phénomène qui disparait définitivement vers 00 heure 30. L'enquête se tournera sans succès vers un possible vol d'hélicoptère pour aboutir en fait à un hypermarché qui faisait des essais de projecteurs laser en vue d'une opération publicitaire.
