Le 1er octobre 1987 vers 2h du matin, un automobiliste et son fils apercoivent dans la campagne plusieurs lumières distantes de plusieurs mètres. Cette même observation se répète lors de trois arrêts sucessifs. L'enquète démontrera qu'il s'agit des phares et de deux projecteurs de 40 watts d'un camion citerne équipé spécifiquement à l'arrière pour le ramassage du lait.
