Le 26 janvier 1983 entre 6h55 et 7h08 plusieurs témoins dans les Bouches-du-Rhône vont apercevoir une boule lumineuse blanche se déplaçant horizontalement. Cette boule est suivie d'une trainée colorée. Les observations entre 4 et 45 secondes permettent aux témoins de remarquer l'absence totale de bruit et une vitesse très importante. Ce phénomène va disparaître dans le paysage. Aucune autre information n'a pu être recueillie sur ce phénomène qui s'apparente à une rentrée atmosphérique. [GEIPAN classification B — Météoroïde]
