Le 7 avril 1981 vers 20h, des témoins observent une boule de feu à environ 4000 mètres d'altitude . Celle-ci est suivie d'une trainée colorée et semble ensuite chuter dans les environs. Aucun autre témoignage ne sera recueilli. Ces personnes, d'après les descriptions qu'elles font du phénomène, ont probablement été témoins d'une rentrée atmosphérique.
