Le 16 août 1980 vers 3 heures 30, en rentrant d'un bal populaire, un témoin observe au-dessus d'un champ un objet en forme de chapeau de champignon. D'un diamètre de 15 mètres, il emet une lumière rouge assez violente. Le témoin après s'être approché à environ 400 mètres à pris peur et s'est enfui. Pendant son trajet, il a pu constater que l'objet survolait le village émettant toujours de la lumière rouge et restant totalement silencieux. Aucune trace au sol ou sur la végétation n'a été observée. Aucune explication n'a été trouvée à cette observation.
