Le 2 avril 1979 vers 20h40 la gendarmerie reçoit des appels téléphoniques signalant le survol de la commune par un engin émettant une lumière vive. Sur place les gendarmes constateront un phénomène lumineux orangé qui se déplace dans le ciel dégagé à faible altitude en direction du Nord-Est. Des lumières clignotantes rouges et une lumière fixe verte émanent de l'engin. L'enquète démontrera qu'il s'agit du passage d'un aéronef de type DC.9 qui effectuait des entrainements de vols dans la région entre 20h 30 et 21h 15. Le cas est classé A : observation d'un aéronef.
