Le 31 mars 1979 la gendarmerie est contactée pour constater la présence d'un morceau de glace tombé sur le parking de la gare. Il n'y a ni victimes ni dégats malgré des fragments de glace éparpillés sur une trentaine de mètres. Dans un morceau de glace la présence de substances beige et rouge apparaît. Des échantillons de cette matière seront analysés pour conclure à la présence de graisse d'origine végétale ou animale provenant d'un bloc de glace qui se serait probablement détaché d'un aéronef. Le village est en effet situé en-dessous d'un couloir aérien fortement fréquenté et des conditions climatiques particulières peuvent provoquer de tels incidents.
