Le 13 décembre 1977 entre 19h et 19h30 plusieurs témoins dans différentes régions de France ont observé le rapide passage Est-Ouest dans le ciel d'un phénomène lumineux de forme circulaire suivi d'une trainée. La plupart de ces observations ont duré quelques secondes et aucun bruit particulier n'a été entendu.
