Le 24 janvier 1976 plusieurs personnes dont des gendarmes observent entre 19h40 et 22h 30 un objet lointain lumineux dans le ciel émettant des lueurs vertes et oranges . Cet objet se déplace sensiblement. Aucun bruit n'est entendu. Tous ces témoins ont probablement fait une observation astronomique de l'étoile Sirius, particulièrement bien visible en cette période de l'année.
