Provincetown, Massachusetts. 9:52 a.m. Witness: M.I.T. research associate and Air National Guard Maj. M.H. Ligda. Radar tracking of one object during M.I.T tracking of USAF flight of F-84 or F-86 jet fighters. Object speed was 22 miles/minute (l,200 m.p.h.), made turn of 11-12 gs acceleration during 1 minute observation.

Bright white light streaked at high rate of speed. Stopped and blinked green, and then back to white. It sped directly away out of sight.

I was driving towards Provincetown from Truro (Outer Cape Cod) after dark on Route 6. At about the mid-way point of Pilgrim Lake on Route 6, looking NNE over the dunes in the direction of Race Point beach, we saw something that most resembled a lowish bi-wing plane in the dark, with a line of small green and white lights running the long way along both wings (so the plane shape was inferred from the light positions.) The lights vasilated quickly from right to left on both "strings" of lights while what they appeared to be attached to remained stationary and in place for at least 30 seconds as we approached in the car at approx. 55 mph. After approximately 30 seconds, both strings of lights started to bank and turn away towards our right, quickly and brightly flared white/yellow for a few seconds, and faded to a very small, dim, neon green point of light while making a very fast u-turn. At the end of the banking u-turn, it flew off at a slight downward angle at a very high speed, went behind the highest visible dunes, and was gone. We really have no idea what it was.

I saw 5 bright objects moving in th sky. They were moving quickly and were very close to each other. And very bright red in the sky.

I took our dog down to the town beach at 12:30AM (approx.), and noticed a light to our south, over Truro/Wellfreet across the bay. It was higher than any police tower or radio antennas. The light seemed large compared to all other faint lights on shore. I left the beach and went to my house and got my partner. It was still there when er returned and hadn't moved from when I had seen it. We noted the moon to our backs as we faced the light. It was a clear evening. We evnetualy left since it didn't seem to move. We know the coastline across the bay. We've never seen a light that bright or big anywhere near that location before.
